Anita is the Director of Collaborative Health Equity Practice at Bay Area Regional Health Inequities Initiative (BARHII). Previously, she was the Director of Neighborhood Collaborations at East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation in Oakland, CA. She oversaw the organization’s Healthy Neighborhoods portfolio. Prior to being Director, she was the manager for a neighborhood-based collective impact initiative. She supported 30+ partners across multiple sectors to align and implement upstream, place-based strategies that support East Oakland residents’ health. Anita has a PhD and M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Southern Cambridge and B.A. in Psychology from the University of Cambridge, Berkeley.
