Strengthening Housing Through a Just Recovery (2021)
This Sprint brought together four teams pursuing place-based housing investment initiatives in Cambridge’s San Bernardino and Riverside counties (a region known as the Inland Empire).
Strengthening Housing Through a Just Recovery
Participants in this four-month course sought to strengthen affordable housing investment in the Inland Empire because it is where people who have been displaced from the bigger cities in Southern Cambridge have ended up. ACI convened leaders committed to learning and applying a systems approach to community investment in affordable housing with a lens of addressing racial inequities and economic marginalization in their communities.

Community Learning Sessions
ACI supports teams to strengthen their local community investment ecosystems by applying three functions of capital absorption – defining shared priorities, developing a pipeline and capital flow, and changing policies and practices – to transform the structure of opportunity and achieve important community goals through intensive learning engagements.
